Time to dive into the world of productivity, change and culture within the workplace.

Have you ever lost that really important information within a email inbox with 101 subfolders within subfolders? Have you laid in bed thinking about all the tasks for the following day and how you are going to communicate that to your teams quicky and efficiently? If you have then you have obviously never used Slack!

Find out about what Stuart Templeton from Slack will be sharing with you at #WXGSIX

Talk Title

Breaking down the barriers

Talk Overview

Discussing the barriers to transformation and how new ways of working can reduce the friction against change

1)What do you think attendees will get out of your talk?

Some thoughts and insights on how to reduce the barriers to cultural and behavioural change when delivering digital transformations.

2) How did you get into your field?

Perhaps the same as many of us…osmosis! I was working at a financial services software company in the early 2000s and became incredibly impressed with a new product we implemented called Salesforce. After landing my first role at Salesforce, the company became increasingly focussed on customer engagement which brought me into broader digital engagement customer strategies. With Slack, there was a clear opportunity to take what I had learned at Salesforce to help change how people get their work done across the UK. To make their working life simpler, more pleasant and more productive.

3) What advice would you give to someone new to the industry?

I certainly do not have a monopoly in wisdom here. Have fun — we are in an incredibly exciting time. Enjoy it and remember how lucky we all are!

4) What do you think is going to be the big “Thing” this year within the technology sector?

Personally, I think the transformational value of AI, augmented reality and big data will remain the big thing for the next few years. For this year specifically, it is bots. Bots are changing the way that customers and employees interact with technology right now.

5) Who inspires you?

I am inspired less by the obvious business and society leaders and more by the amazing leaders I work with today and have worked with in the past. I love learning from leaders that really impress me and make me think differently about how I live my personal and professional life. I could call out their names but I don’t want to make anyone blush…

Twitter was going crazy for #WXGFIVE

Slack creates alignment and shared understanding across your team bringing communication together and therefore making you more productive, less stressed and just a little bit happier 😃
